On May 14 2011 BODEGA LES USERES was awarded BEST NATIONAL WINERY at FECOES (Spanish Federation of Wine and Gastronomy Guilds) national awards 2011. This sixth edition took place in Laredo which is located in Cantabria province, and was dedicated to the Spanish culinary crafts. This award recognizes the long tradition of wine in Les Useres village and also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Les Useres Winery current creation which has expanded and modernized to meet its growing needs by using the best technology for the production of red, white and rosé wines as well as for maturation in oak barrels. The permanent effort, perseverance, patience, continuous investment and ambition to do things right, have allowed it to endure and grow over time. Valencia olive oil awards: Segorbe Nostrum, the top winner
Segorbe Nostrum, olive oil produced by the Cooperativa San Isidro de Segorbe has been awarded Best Fruity Green Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Intense Unfiltered Segorbe Nostrum), Best Ripe Fruit Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Mild Segorbe Nostrum), and Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Designation of Origin "Oils from Valencia Region," at the XVIth Competition on Extra Virgin Olive Oil that took place last week in Utiel, in Valencia Province.
The President of the Cooperativa San Isidro de Segorbe D. Jose Molés showed to the large audience, their gratitude and satisfaction for the prize: "we finally picked the fruit that rewards the hard work of many years. The innovation and the incorporation of new production techniques, as well as the production of Segorbe Nostrum oil 100% made with Serrana Espadán olives, have been the key for obtaining this excellent product”.
The olive grove of Valencia Region is farmed in a surface area of 95.000 hectares which means almost the 14% of the total surface area cultivated in the region. In 2010, the production of olive oil reached 29.200 tons. The quality of oils from Valencia is increasing thanks to producers’ work in which they select the varieties with the best characteristics, and also to the innovative production processes,

COARVI, handcrafted semiconserves from Vinaros
CONSERVAS ARTESANAS VINARÒS, COARVI is a company dedicated to the handcrafted elaboration of semiconserves in Vinaròs's city. Their experience with the traditional conserves comes from past generations, from the experience and well to play the role of their forbears since they have been fishermen until the year 1.994.
Is the heiress of the older "Salazones El Pescador", a small industry of the salting that with a few precarious facilities and the great effort of the workers, soul of the company, and Tomás Gilabert. They forged the foundations of their company, now located in Vinaròs's Industrial Park.
Their facilities are to a scanty km from The Fishermen's Confraternity, this help to their product to have the maximum quality, apart from already recognized quality that has all of the fish that is captured near the Delta of the Ebro, by the mixing of salty and sweet water, and the nutrients that the river contributes.
