The Castellon Wine Route presented at Fitur Tourism exhibition

The launch of the website www.rutadelvinocastellon.com and a promotional video pave the way to the commercialization of this new wine tourism product

Castellon Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation presented yesterday at FITUR 2013 the Castellón Wine Route. The event coincided with the Day of the Valencian Region and served as the starting point for the promotion of the initiative launched by the Chamber of Commerce in September 2011 under the Hidden European project.

The Route is directed by a non-profit organization responsible for the planning, management and marketing. 15 companies from the Les Useres-Vilafamés area, between wineries, traditional retail shops, hotels and restaurants are participating in the project.

During the presentation they outlined the promotional media that will help promote this tourist product to the end customer and that will serve as a sales force for travel agents: the website www.rutadelvinocastellon.com, a promotional video, a facebook fan page and a youtube channel where the companies will promote their services.

The objectives of the Wine Route are the promotion of wines and other regional deli products, the preservation of natural, historical and cultural heritage, improving business competitiveness and economic diversification. Castellón province concentrates 50% of the rural accommodation offer of Valencia, with excellent facilities and restaurants, and a growing industry of regional delicacies including wine, especially in Les Useres-Vilafamés Area.

The Wine Route brings together a wide range of services: visiting wineries and museums, tasting of typical local products, accommodation and catering.
