Segorbe Nostrum presents its organic extra virgin olive oil at BioCultura international ecologic fair


Between the 8th  and 11th November BioCultura, the 28th international fair of organic products and responsible consumption will be held at IFEMA Madrid fairgrounds.

Segorbe Nostrum attends the fair together with Representaciones Mirta and will present the new Segorbe Nostrum Ecológico, its extra virgin olive oil from Serrana Espadán variety olives to distributors, operators, media and general public.

BioCultura brings together more than 18,000 references of organic food products, along with other sectors such as hygiene products, cosmetics, eco-materials, organic textiles and renewable energy. BioCultura also offers over 250 parallel activities to the business interactions.
Segorbe nostrum will be in Hall 4 of IFEMA, in booth 143, with Representaciones Mirta and other organic products Valencia.

Valencia olive oil awards: Segorbe Nostrum, the top winner


Segorbe Nostrum, olive oil produced by the Cooperativa San Isidro de Segorbe has been awarded Best Fruity Green Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Intense Unfiltered Segorbe Nostrum), Best Ripe Fruit Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Mild Segorbe Nostrum), and Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Designation of Origin "Oils from Valencia Region," at the XVIth Competition on Extra Virgin Olive Oil that took place last week in Utiel, in Valencia Province.

The President of the Cooperativa San Isidro de Segorbe D. Jose Molés showed to the large audience, their gratitude and satisfaction for the prize: "we finally picked the fruit that rewards the hard work of many years. The innovation and the incorporation of new production techniques, as well as the production of Segorbe Nostrum oil 100% made with Serrana Espadán olives, have been the key for obtaining this excellent product”.

The olive grove of Valencia Region is farmed in a surface area of 95.000 hectares which means almost the 14% of the total surface area cultivated in the region. In 2010, the production of olive oil reached 29.200 tons. The quality of oils from Valencia is increasing thanks to producers’ work in which they select the varieties with the best characteristics, and also to the innovative production processes,
