Bodega Les Useres won gold medal in Canada

Bodega Les Useres, with his wine Winegrowers 86, won the gold medal in the international awards Sélections Mondiales des Vins, in Canada, an important recognition for the quality of its product. The competition, the largest in North America, with over twenty years of existence, has international recognition and it is promoted by the International Organization of Vine and Wine. The Castellón winery, thanks to this distinction, aims to consolidate its products in the Canadian market where it has been working several years. 

The Castellon brand also participated in the II Wine Fair of Les Useres in Spain, where participants could taste the wines L'Alcalatén, Route 33 and Winegrowers 86; they also took part of the tastings and presentations in the fair.

Spanish winery awards. Bodega Les Useres is recognized as best national winery

On May 14 2011 BODEGA LES USERES was awarded BEST NATIONAL WINERY at FECOES (Spanish Federation of Wine and Gastronomy Guilds) national awards 2011. This sixth edition took place in Laredo which is located in Cantabria province, and was dedicated to the Spanish culinary crafts. This award recognizes the long tradition of wine in Les Useres village and also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Les Useres Winery current creation which has expanded and modernized to meet its growing needs by using the best technology for the production of red, white and rosé wines as well as for maturation in oak barrels. The permanent effort, perseverance, patience, continuous investment and ambition to do things right, have allowed it to endure and grow over time. BEST WINES IN CASTELLON PROVINCE

Magnanimus Platino, from Mayo Casanova wineries in Vilafamés, a Globbarea company, has been awarded the prize to the best wine in Castellon province. 16 regional wineries took part in this second edition of the contest, with a jury of best Castellon sommeliers. Some other wines were also distinguished with an award, many of them of Globbarea companies too: Baron d’Alba, Agrotaula, Vicente Flors, Bodega Les Useres, Bodega San Juan, Destilerías Vidal, Mas de Rander and Masía de la Hoya.

Castellon wines have excellent quality to compete in any market, both national and internationally. In recent years Castellon wine sector has been committed to the investigation and use of new technology, both to increase its product offer and to know the market trends. Its challenge for the near future is continuing to open new markets, bringing Castellon wines around the world and winning new clients.

The surface devoted to vineyards in the province is 1.343 hectares, of which about 500 are located in Vilafames and Useres villages.

BODEGA LES USERES is located in the beautiful village of Les Useres, within the county of Alcalatén, in the province of Castellón (region of Valencia, Spain). The origins of this winery go back to the 1950s when a number of local wine growers grouped together, and with constant effort, perseverance, patience, investment and a desire to do things well, have allowed LES USERES to become the most important winery in the province of Castellón.
In 2003, the regional Government of Valencia (Spain) created the Geographical Indication of “Vino de la Tierra de Castellón” (literally “Wines from the Land of Castellón”), within which our company is the main
