During the weekend of the 21st and 22nd February the 13th Verema Experience took place in the Hotel Balneario Las Arenas in Valencia (Spain). The show gathered together more than 2,000 amateur and professionals of food and wine to taste wines of nearly 100 domestic and international wineries in an idyllic surroundings.
The event finished with the awards ceremony introduced by a global tasting.
Segorbe Nostrum Extra Virgin Olive Oil received the award for the Best Spanish Olive Oil 2013, obtaining the majority of votes of web followers, final consumers and lovers of fine cuisine.
Segorbe Nostrum was accompanied by international companies such as Juve & Camps, who received the award for Best Sparkling wine; Ramón Bilbao, Best Winery of the Year; best Gin award went to Seagram´s, Estrella de Galicia 1906 Best Beer, best sweet wine Pedro Ximenez and Rioja Alta was awarded as the best Red Wine.
The award was collected by the president of the Cooperativa de Segorbe, José Molés Morro, who after explaining the benefits and virtues of Segorbe Nostrum Olive Oil, thanked the votes of all the fellow members who proclaimed it Best Spanish olive oil. He also thanked to all the attendants to the ceremony, closing his speech by congratulating all the winners who shared such an exciting evening.
